Privacy
Last updated 2026-10-13. This is a plain-language summary of how the service works today.
What we collect
- Reading the site needs no account. Server logs keep your IP address and the pages requested for security and abuse prevention.
- If you register: your e-mail address, a display name, and a salted hash of your password (we never store the password itself).
- If you use the site while signed in: your comments, votes, reading preferences and notification settings.
- Your browser keeps a sign-in token and display preferences (theme, filters) in local storage on your device.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal data, and we do not send your account details or comments to the AI providers that help summarize articles; they only see public article text.
Why we use it
To run your account, show your preferences, send the alerts you subscribe to, moderate comments, and defend the service against abuse.
Retention and your choices
Account data is kept while the account exists. You can ask for your account and comments to be deleted or exported by contacting the operator. Security logs are kept for a limited period.
